Dr. Khwaja Tariq

Dr. Khwaja Tariq is a board-certified M.D. psychiatrist at One Behavioral in Friendswood and Sugarland, TX. Dr. Tariq graduated from Baqai Medical College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and a Bachelor’s Degree in Surgery (MBBS). He completed his Psychiatric Residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, in New York. He is certified by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with a specialization in Psychiatry.

Dr. Tariq succeeds in forming close bonds with his patients by listening to their mental health needs and tailoring his treatment accordingly. He has extensive experience treating a wide spectrum of Psychiatric disorders in patients age 18 and up. His extensive knowledge and therapy-centric approach to Psychiatry, as well as his compassionate temperament ensure that patients receive the utmost care with his treatment plans. He also supervises and works closely with mid-level practitioners as a Senior Outpatient Psychiatrist to mentor and provide guidance to his providers. Dr. Tariq also helps lead community outreach efforts at One Behavioral through providing easily accessible education and minimizing stigmas surrounding Behavioral Health.
