Catherina D Lawson is an LPC, licensed professional counselor for the state of Texas, and R-DMT, registered dance movement therapist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in dance and education from Texas Woman’s University, as well as a master’s degree in mental health counseling, with a specialization in dance movement therapy, from Lesley University. Catherina is a licensed trauma-informed care professional counselor and previously registered behavior technician with extensive training and experience in applied behavior analysis.
Catherina has been trained in prevention and management of safety-care emergencies. She earned multiple certificates, including technical proficiency and data collection, and creation of various evaluation scales. She is well-versed in assisting patients ages 5 to 55, implementing a wrap-around treatment model and person-centered care, with consideration of environmental influences on a social, cultural and generational level. Working with One Behavioral inspires her to deliver professional mental health practice and growth in order to fulfill a therapeutic goal by fostering a safe and productive environment while assisting patients on their therapeutic journey.
